first bisque load
i just loaded up the electric kiln and it’s firing. Dan was home for lunch and he took some pictures…we are total dorks.
i’m in heaven having this right at my house. i can come over here, take a shower, check on Will taking his nap, do some much needed cleaning of my house not my studio.

so, what’s in this kiln, some big serving bowls, some medium serving bowls (none with saggy drawers I might add…previous post), ovaled vases, bottle vases, mugs and the most interesting order I’ve done yet….an urn for a dog named Possum, this will have it’s own post soon enough don’t worry. In designing how I would do the urn for the dog I actually came up with a new bottle shaped vase that I’m really excited about.
It’s a beautiful serene day here, it’s afternoon and overcast and blueish grey out, it’s about to storm….is that sad that i love grey so much. It’s just so peaceful.
It’s so funny that i’m so excited about this bisque kiln, i feel like i’m reliving my high school days when I loaded my first electric kiln.
see you soon.

hi annie! You are so cute (and productive!) in your awesome new studio. i am so jealous of your great setup. hey, you will need to do a workshop in the future at your studio for me and re teach me how to throw a pot, bc i haven’t done it in about 3 years. how sad is that? but i have still been making lots of things, just not out of clay! love you and can’ t wait to see you 3 when you come down in october. (it’s october or Nov.??) Heather
